It does wail! Laughing

It is definitely as good as I thought it would be. I will, at some point, post a review and some samples from it. I'm too busy exploring it. Cool

ok, well, here's a sample.

It's the M5N, the Wretch, the Voyager, and a couple of bits of percussion.

Driven by M.

The M5N's multimode filter is in use, as opposed to the Fat Lady transistor ladder. I'm looking for stuff I didn't hear on the other demos. I did not get rambunctious with the spring reverb either, although it's sorely tempting. I haven't had one in a while. They're fun.

Anyway it's just a couple of sequences I plugged into M to drive the thing while I played around.

Ok, here's a nice busy lil tune made from 3 monophonic synthesizers, of which the major base is the M5N. Moog is bass, SE-1X is the obvious monophonic line. Total tracks = 4. We're using the M5N, Voyager, Procussion, and SE-1X. There is an Effectron 1024 helping out, that is it.

Yes, I have been playing. Very Happy

thanks for the vote of confidence! Rolling Eyes The engineering vs musician thing with me is a big internal argument. Usually, the musician wins, it waits until emotional times, then it strikes.

I thought the original layout, color and particularly the slider knobs was very
nice looking design, now to my deepest horror i find that he has listened to
some corny people on a local Yahoo forum and changed it to look like 1970's
synth! Shocked

Did that make over sell more units for Macbeth?
If so then its OK i suppose. Cool

Always with the opinion, aren't you. Wink

He seems to sell them, I bought one, although if you wait long enough I might actually review it a bit. I like my Fonik 2044 filter more than his ladder, and the multimode is useful, but I am still exploring.

I do love the oscillators. You could try to improve them, make me a dream VCO or something. love

Dont get me wrong here, the M5N are a damn fine machine, it breaths
quality. Not the white, the black one. Wink

Actually, i'm very tempted to do something in that direction Machbet
have done, im starting to believe its a lot more satisfying and financially
viable/doable then to make small VCO modules and sell!

Alltought **genius** VCO modules that is. Wink Laughing
It seams that the money return are better doing large things.

Edit: Heeeey!! You have a SE1!!
Btw thats a really fine machine, very good sounding, better then the
original BikiniBoog.

the white one has quality too. If I hit you with this thing, you would hurt, big time. It weighs like 35 kilos. He uses some massive steel. I am happy with the oscillators, and the LFO set, and the noise sources/SH/etc. The EGs are superior to most, actually, too. Ken makes a nice synthesizer, even if I am having problems with the filters tonight. This always works itself out, it's called artistic block.

Yes, I have an SE1-X. It drifts all over the place, I have been meaning to go inside and find out what came loose. The VCOs really drift all over the place. I assume poor mating of the TC resistors with the heat source, but I have to pull it apart to find out. I still really like it, there are two things I like about it, one, the sound, and two, the very nice human engineering.

It is actually more ballsy than the Moog Voyager one meter away on the left. Of course the Moog does not drift as bad. I have been inside that one. I had to replace a board to upgrade it.
