Thanks to you all for being there and enduring me in the chat.
My setup was a mix of hard and soft toys; Nord Lead 4, Digitakt, 0-coast through Mini Kaoss Pad 2, Kaoss Pad Quad, Aalto VST, Valhalla Plate and Ubermod - all run through or inside Plogue Bidule.

Subject description: Acoustic Interloper Set |
|
|
The attached recording has the first 20 minutes of my March 23, 2019 equinox set (the processed guitar part), followed by another 20 minutes of processed acoustic banjo from this afternoon that replaces the 23rd's 10-minute banjo part.
I broke a picking fingernail in changing instruments yesterday at the 20 minute mark, had to play with the fleshy part of the finger because the nail was snagging, and it threw me off. The mix between banjo amplitude and soft synth amplitude was off, and even amplitude between picking fingers on the banjo, which is something I can't fix in real time.
This is better. I trimmed away the fingernail snag last night and played the banjo part just now for a full 20 minutes, the way God apparently intended. I edited the 2 sections together with only small level adjustments.
Photo shows the instruments. First 20 minutes are my wife's G&L Ascari electric guitar, played through fx in Ableton Live (mostly delays). My son calls it my wife's metal guitar because the strings are so thick, which is how I like them; I like to lean into them, which is likely how I broke the nail. The last 20 minutes are my Bart Reiter Professional with a bright Bacon tone ring & an internal wooden resonator that acts as an EQ, bringing down the high end and adding a touch of sustain. I also used a Roland FC-300 controller's pair of expression pedals to control feedback and wet/dry on the delay fx. All picking was pickless finger up-picking, minus yesterday's snagged fingernail. Applied Acoustic Soft Synths under Live for the backing tracks include String Studio & Chromaphone.
Thanks, PHOBoS and everyone. I enjoyed listening, playing, and chatting!

OK... 7 hours before my stream event I made the stupid decision to rebuild the complete audio setup....
and bring in large pieces of scrap metal (2x cuts in the fingers)
-> treated (abused) with self made drum sticks and metallic bows
5 minutes before the stream the contact mic broke and I had to solder it + no plan.. but err.. a something more or less unlistenable acoustic research track was finally broadcast... LOL
