Anyone have any suggestions for stream clients that run under Linux? Edcast under Wine is no good for me. I'm trying things as I find them, but so far, no luck. This is just about a Linux-only household, so I'd appreciate any advice.

I could just set up my own streaming service, but I'd really like to be a part of shows here, too.

Hi there

These links may be useful. They all seem to suggest a common app so fingers crossed this will be of some help to you.

Thanks, Fenris. Cool

The only problem I have with MuSE is that it won't connect by default to my sound devices. Hopefully after playing around with it, I'll figure it out. If not, then it looks like I'll simply have to create my own streaming station.

Ah I See. My Linux Ubuntu is not such an exotic setup so I'm afraid I know nothing as such.

Maybe this will help, if this is related to your issue -

Also check 'Jack' at the Ubuntu forums it seems you are not alone with issues with muse. Unless it's your posts I've found Laughing

I use edcast_jack with jack, and audacious to stream prerecorded music. Works great!

Woody dude! Where's them config files? If you PM'd me, you might have typo'd my username. If you're still willing to share them with me, that'd be super-groovy.

(Edit: there is no one by a name other than Woody mentioned here!)

Anyway, here my config file, I hashed out the port number and password, you have to figure those out yourself.

Cheers,
Woody
