I set up two proxy servers to allow for HTTP port 80 streaming. This may make it possible for people in hotel rooms or at work (where the streaming radio ports are often blocked) to still listen to our radio stations.

it is a bit clumsy still to listen to these streams, and I will leave it like that for the experiment ... there are some drawbacks to this method of streaming, and I don't want everyone to use these streams all the time, at least not for now.

Here is what you need to do:

for VLC go to the Media menu, select open network stream (or use ctrl+N) and then copy one of the links below into the box and hit the play button.

For Winamp press ctrl+L, paste link, click open, press play. (i didnt test this not having winamp installed currently)

For windows media player open the program, type ctrl+U and paste one of the links.

Some more recipes here : http://www.stream24.com/enter-web-radio-stream-url-manually.php

I think these scripts will time out after some time, as I didn't put an effort in for them to not do that ... still my test from here ran for over three hours sofar without interruption.

Edit: OK it held for over 6h30m .. seems usable then.
