Importing patches into Nord Rack 1

Hi, I bought a used Nord Rack 1 with expansion board yesterday and was struggling to import banks into it. I've downloaded the factory as well as 4 sound cards from the Clavia site, unzipped and imported a bank into Sysex librarian for Mac OSX, chosen the corresponding midi out which is connected to the Midi in of the Nord Rack.
I have patch 1 selected, also tried with 1. (Decimal point afterwards)
I play back the Sysex file, Nord Rack is set to Midi channel 16 on slot A.

Is this the correct way to set to Global channel 16?

Am I right in thinking it needs to be set to ch 16 for receiving patches and performances? I think I read this last night.

I feel like I've tried everything. There's no indication LED to show midi being received, but if I connect my Nord lead 3 to it I'm able to play it just fine and all works as expected.

There's a PCMCIA card installed, which has two positions - lock, and WP. It's set to WP as I feel like Lock should not be on when I'm trying to write patches to it.

On the other hand if WP stands for write protect then that sounds strange too.

Stuck, please help!

Can somebody write a simple step by step procedure? IE. How Nord rack / lead 1 should be set to expect to receive Midi programs and performances.

After the dump, do you need to immediately press the red save button?
